CoolFarmTool

With CoolFarmTool, we calculate the carbon footprint of dairy producers in 14 CBUs. This online tool has been developed by the Cool Farm Alliance, including food retailers, manufacturers, input suppliers, NGOs, universities and consultancies.

DANONE REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE TRANSITION MECHANISM

The scope of the Danone RA Transition Mechanism is focused on enabling the transition of farmers’ practices towards Regenerative Agriculture. The scope of the funding is limited to farms in the supply chain of Danone, farms upstream (e.g. production of farms inputs such as forage), and to the first agricultural transformation in some limited cases, such as the production of cattle feed. DairyInsight.io is a custom-built online business tool which provides in-depth insight into the performance of our CPM portfolio of dairy farms across geographically diverse regions. This business tool will present information as to the performance of each farm and will provide a broad set of options to gain insights through key performance indictor dashboard views and reports for assessments, recommendations and outcomes. It will allow the team to do quick comparison, between farms, highlight abnormal results, but also do statistical analysis to help drive better decision making on farms.

EU Cost Performance Model

Danone has innovated with a new system, called Cost Performance Model (CPM), for some dairy farmers. By taking into account production costs, such contracts guarantee stable profit margins and mitigate the effects of fluctuations in the market price of goods.  These contracts come with an increased degree of transparency about the technico-economic performance of these farms, which is monitored with our CPM tools.  CPM tools are used to improve farms competitiveness by reporting and comparing progress on economics (e.g. break-down production costs, feed costs, etc.), milk production, herd management, feed management, people management.
